R.B.P Domestic DB-L 1268 | Commercial CB-U 3012 | Dorset Reblocking Pty Ltd Rego. Number CDB-L 48022

Family owned and operated house reblocking & underpinning with over 30 years experience.

  • Underpinning of brick houses/structures
  • Replaces rotten timber stumps with concrete/steel stumps depending on height required
  • Remove and replace old ducted heating piping as required
  • excavate out further under the house as requested( Dorset has a kubota)
  • Install steel stumps for extra room under the house for ‘man caves’ etc
  • Replace timber flooring with new as required

Reblocking involves replacing pre existing timber stumps with more sturdy concrete and steel stumps. On the surface your stumps may appear perfect, but underlying damage occurs below the surface causing timber rot and distorted structure. This can have great effects on structural integrity and your wallet.

Why Reblock

Natural elements such as warmth and moisture create the perfect atmosphere for wooden house stumps to rot and warp your houses foundation. Having strong concrete stump replacements prevents rot and the expansion that occurs when temperature changes rapidly.

Benefits of Reblocking

  • Reduction of indoor floor squeaking.
  • Cracked wall prevention.
  • Prevention of warped doors.
  • Strong more resistant stumps
  • No wood rot.

Underpinning involves strengthen existing footings under brick walls by deepening the foundations to create a more stronger stable founding materials.

Why Underpin

  • The original foundation is not strong or stable enough.
  • The usage of the structure has changed.
  • The soil properties have changed (possibly through subsidence).
  • It is more economical.
  • Earthquake, flood, drought or other natural causes have caused structural movment

Benefits of Underpinning

  • Stronger Foundation
  • More economical
